Our Mission

The American Energy Independence Coalition is a nonprofit advocacy organization dedicated to promoting policies that secure America’s energy future.

We champion energy independence, lower electricity costs for all Americans, and robust job creation across the clean energy sector.

We believe that maintaining and expanding the federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC) is vital to accelerating domestic energy production, energy storage, spurring innovation, and building a resilient and affordable energy system for the future.

Our goals

01

Energy Independence

We believe America’s long-term security and resilience depend on reducing reliance on foreign energy sources. By investing in domestic clean energy infrastructure and local manufacturing, we can build a self-sustaining energy system that puts control back in American hands. Energy independence isn’t just a goal — it’s a necessity for national stability, economic strength, and environmental responsibility.

02

Reduce Electricity Costs

Affordable energy is a cornerstone of economic equity and household stability. We advocate for policies that lower electricity costs through expanded clean energy deployment, grid modernization, and fair market access. By maintaining the Investment Tax Credit (ITC) and encouraging competitive innovation, we can drive down energy prices for consumers and businesses alike.

03

Create Jobs

Clean energy is one of the fastest-growing job sectors in the U.S., offering opportunities in manufacturing, construction, engineering, and skilled trades. We support initiatives that create well-paying, long-term jobs across communities of all sizes — from urban centers to rural towns. Our mission is to ensure that the transition to a sustainable energy future is also a pathway to economic opportunity for all Americans.

How it all started

The American Energy Independence Coalition was born out of an informal gathering of experts from across the battery storage and clean energy industries.

Convened by GridVest Partners, a leader in battery storage distribution and financing, this group came together around a shared sense of urgency: the need to secure America’s energy future through smarter policy, stronger domestic infrastructure, and broader access to affordable clean power.

What began as a conversation among industry veterans quickly evolved into a focused advocacy effort — one aimed at protecting and expanding the policies that make energy independence possible.
